African Woman Playing Djembe Wooden Wall Decor

A woman kneels, one hand raised, the other poised to touch the skin of the djembe in front of her. Her headscarf, drawn with layered folds, and a single large hoop earring soften her profile, while the triangular tension lines of the drum and its diamond-patterned body on the right side of the composition establish a visual rhythm. The arm, breaking through the top edge of the square frame, conveys that brief pause at the moment of impact; the wide empty central space allows the figure to breathe.

It is laser-cut from premium 6 mm thick wood. This thickness ensures that delicate details, such as the thin tension lines of the drum and the closely spaced folds of the headscarf, remain intact during cutting; as the piece protrudes slightly from the wall, a soft shadow forms behind the figure. Each piece is individually cut in our Eskişehir workshop, its edges are hand-finished, and after checking its matte black surface, it is packaged.

Available in four size options: 30 x 30 cm, 45 x 45 cm, 60 x 60 cm, and 70 x 70 cm. The small size also looks beautiful leaning against a wall on a shelf or console; sizes 60 x 60 cm and larger are sufficient on their own behind a sofa, at a bedside, or in a music corner. It creates a warm ensemble with beige, terracotta, and khaki green walls; and with rattan, oak, and boucle textures.
